UPDATE: Indy Concours
Citing the still-fragile state of the U.S. economy, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has announced that its Centennial Era Concours d’Elegance has been moved back a year, from its previously announced date of June 18-20, 2010 to June 17-19, 2011. The first Indianapolis 500 was held on May 30, 1911, so this rescheduling puts the concours in line with the actual centennial of the 500-mie race. Speedway officials cited consultations with industry leaders as helping inform the decision.

Pikes Peak Vintage Stars
With 2009 marking the 87th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, it is the second oldest motor race in the United States after the Indianapolis 500. For the past two years the event has included a class for vintage cars—most of which have been production-based stock cars.

Tasman McLaren Revival
A pair of Bruce McLaren Festival weekends will highlight the seventh season of the MSC New Zealand F5000 Tasman Cup Revival Series. The full schedule of events includes six meetings, but expectations are that the two McLaren-honoring events and the Australian Grand Prix support show will draw the largest entries.
